I love Soontofu. Although it was not the same as the one I had in 2006 on my first trip to Seattle, Soontofu was still delicious. However, If I'm to be served by the angry old lady who served me in 2006 and then this year, I... (more)

I would not recommend anyone to go there purely because some of the people (not all) who work here are racists. If you are not Korean or even white, you?ll get the most awful service in the world or in my case no service.... (more)

After reading all of the posts about the horrid service of Hosoonyi, I really have to disagree. I visited here as I live in Edmonds myself and the food was supposed to be excellent. Well, I found that the food was really... (more)

My brother and I came here and really enjoyed ourselves. We laughed about how people said that the service was not so hot, and even unattentive...so of course we were looking for that. It never happened. Our server was... (more)

The food at Hosoonyi is really, really good, but yes, the service, as everyone has noted, is terrible. My boyfriend is Korean American, and I am white. If I go to Hosoonyi with him, we get stellar service (mind you, I... (more)

I've been going to Hosoonyi since it opened. I usually have my mother (who's Korean) order since she's Korean and will yell at the staff if they aren't attentive. As the previous person said, they treat non-Korean... (more)

...yeah, the service. The guy there (always wears glasses) is always accomodating, but a few of the older Korean ladies...well, let's just say that there's a shared observation with other Asian Americans that they... (more)

I've tried several Korean restaurants and this one tops the chart. It's most famous for their tofu soup but the meat dishes are top notched. Dishes to try tofu draft soup, kalbi and bulgogi. The soup can be very spicy!!... (more)

We were invited to dinner a few years ago to this small Korean restaurant. It is extremely busy and it doesn’t take reservations. We waited more than an hour to be seated, but it was worth the wait. The soft tofu soup... (more)

The haemul pajeeon stands out (8/10) , chigaes so-so (5/10)and barbeque rather mediocre(4/10 too sweet), panchan was barely passing(3/10) and service was below acceptable standards(3/10 and not worth the tip).... (more)

This is the best Korean restaurant in the Seattle area. Most of my friends would drive from all over town to have the popular tofu soup. Another favorite of mine is the seafood pancake. However, service sucks!!! It... (more)

Most of the reviews of this restaurant said that the food was great and the service not so great. I would respectfully beg to differ. The food is probably great if you're a Korean. If you're a westerner, you may find... (more)

Like most other Korean restaurants, when you order entrees at Hosoonyi, you also get free appetizer (which is probably included in the price of your entre) with your entre. The appetizer itself is like a little... (more)

This is my second favorite korean restaurant, 2nd because it's so far away for me! This restaurant is always packed. Beware of the crowd on Sundays, after church. Service isn't the greatest, because it's so busy.... (more)

Although I haven't been to many Korean restaurants anywhere, Hosoonyi is definitely by the far the best I've been to, and it seems to be the Korean restaurant of choice for almost everyone I've talked to for the whole... (more)

They are famous for their (homemade?) soft TOFU hot soup. The tofu is so soft that melts in your mouth literally and the soup will do everything for you especially in cold winter. However, being a popular and busy... (more)

Hosoonyi is the best Korean restaurant in the area that I am aware of. Most Asian people tend to love it. I especially like their Korean-style seafood pancakes. There is a mix of regular tables, and low tables that you... (more)
