Complete Your Look with Bridal Earrings

On your big day, everyone will be looking at you, so it's no wonder you want your bridal ensemble to be nothing short of perfect. But you don't need to keep stressing excessively--I've compiled a few tips that will be useful to you as you select jewelry, plan makeup, and find a hairdo. So listen up!

One of the most important things I can tell you is that you cannot expect your hair to magically comply with your vision. If you know your hair fails to hold a curl, for instance, then it is unreasonable to believe your stylist will be able to bring a bouncy updo with plenty of ringlets to life.

Sure, he or she might be armed with special products that can help, but remember that an over-saturation of hair balms and sprays can ultimately give your locks a crispy appearance, which is not attractive for anyone, let alone a bride!

The basic rules of makeup application still apply during your nuptials. You want to look superbly elegant, but you still need to choose to focus on either your eyes or your lips. Trying to play up both at the same time can overwhelm your overall look.

If you don't have a favorite feature of the two, then consider which of the two will be seeing more action throughout the afternoon and evening. If you think you'll be emotional during the ceremony, then a simple waterproof mascara may do the trick, as you can then avoid smudging or trying to reapply primer, eye shadow, and other types of eye makeup.

If, on the other hand, you plan to be eating and drinking heavily or you're worried about smearing lipstick during all the kissing you'll be doing, then a more natural lip is definitely the way to go. Use a light long-wear gloss that can be reapplied without much time and attention, giving you a perfect pout for all the photo-ready moments during your reception.

Don't forget that too much jewelry can, like too much makeup, overwhelm your appearance. I always recommend that brides select fancy--but not gaudy, just simple and elegant--bridal earrings. Skip the matching necklace, as it can compete with the neckline of your gown instead of adding to the overall effect.

If you feel like bridal earrings aren't enough to create the look of timeless elegance you're going for, then add a bridal bracelet or find a choker that coordinates with the details on your dress.

Above all, make sure you have the expertise of at least one professional consultant to make sure you have a keen eye approving your vision as it comes to life. Trust me, it will help!
