Free Reiki for Hospice
Reiki is a Japanese hands-on healing technique. Although Reiki originates from an eastern philosophy, the core belief is spiritually universal. To achieve healing, a practitioner simply promotes the transference of universal energy. This energy is divinely inspired though. So while the practitioner can be instrumental, the focus of that energy will follow God's will. That means Reiki performed for a headache, that energy will go where God feels you need it.
When doing a healing, the practitioner will focus his or her activities around the body's seven chakra energy centers. Chakra activities are exceptionally profound when a body begins to approach death. During life, the lower chakras are critical in grounding us to Earth and our physical existence. Our whole purpose in life is to spiritually ascend along our chakra centers. The higher our progression, the more spiritual our journey becomes. When death is near, however, our lower chakras begin to release their hold upon the physical world. The final days are higher chakra centered, which often allows us the capacity to see and speak with prior spirits. Then at the actual time of death, there will frequently be a culmination of colors and light emanating from the upper chakras. When one does Reiki during hospice, healing of the physical body is not the objective.
Reiki can diminish physical pain at such times. The most important function for Reiki at this time is to facilitate and ease the soul towards a much more profound journey. Divine inspiration is never more important!
